Duncan's Pilsner

ABV 4.9%

A New Zealand take on an old world classic. A crisp dry Larger nicely hopped up with floral notes of citrus and spice. Classic New Zealand hops give lots of spice and citrus with hints of tropical fruit.

Duncan's Pale Ale

ABV 5.6%

A homage to New Zealand/ American style pale ales. Ours marries American hops and their grapefruit and citrus pine character, with New Zealand hops and their tropical floral notes.

Yum Yum Yuzu

ABV 4.7%

A dry Japanese style Lager brewed with Yuzu to give a big refreshing citrus hit. Yuzu is a type of Japanese citrus that has similar flavours to lemon, grapefruit and lime.


Juniper IPA

ABV 7%

A staple and fan favourite of the Duncan’s line up, this IPA is brewed with juniper berries which deliver hints of pine and citrus aroma and flavour.

Uncharted IPPA

ABV 6.6%

Our creative take on a new world Indian Pale Pilsner Ale. Brewed with a combination of Mosaic, Motueka, Cascade and Hallertau Melon, this beer is assertively hopped with a nice dry finish.

Big George Double IPA

ABV 8%

A big American hopped Double IPA. The Big George is hopped with Citra and Ekuanot, giving it a mighty pineapple and citrus tropical hit.

Umbra Imperial Stout

ABV 8.5%

An umbra is the shadow that the Earth casts when hit by sunlight. This Imperial Stout is pitch black and robust with notes of stone fruit and dark chocolate.

Coco Husk Stout

ABV 6.1%

Infused with cocoa husks, a by product of the chocolate making process, this stout possesses rich, deep flavour and aroma.


Whippy IPA (East Coast IPA)

ABV 6.3%

Tropical, tropical, tropical. This beer is the mango lassi of East Coast IPA’s. Brewed with mango, vanilla, lactose and a tonne of tropical fruity hops.

Boysenberry Ripple, Ice Cream Sour

ABV 5%

Part of our dessert style sour beer range. Brewed with lactose sugar and vanilla that sweetens the boysenberry tartness.


Raspberry Ripple, Ice Cream Sour

ABV 5%

A rare sour beer to come out of Duncan’s, and an odd one at that. This is a dessert style sour, brewed with vanilla and lactose sugar to give a slight sweetness to the delicious tartness of raspberries.


Beach Party Hazy IPA

ABV 6.2%

A big, juicy, hazy, IPA. Brewed with mango, passion-fruit, pineapple, and a literal bucket load of Mosaic and Citra hops.


Passionfruit & Lime Ripple, Ice Cream Sour

ABV 5%

Part of our dessert style sour beer range. Brewed with lactose sugar and vanilla that sweetens the passionfruit and lime sourness.


Orange Blossom Brut Pilsner

ABV 7%

Super dry and crisp. This brut style imperial pilsner is brewed with orange blossom water,  light pilsner malt and Mandarina Bavaria hops, creating a floral orange champagne style beer.


The Quad Irish Milk Stout

ABV 4% 

A roasty toasty traditional Irish Stout, sweetened with milk sugar. The Quad has full body and a creamy taste. At 4% it’s an easy and comforting drink on a cold winter’s day.


Tropicana Party Hazy IPA

ABV 7.8%

A triple hopped hazy IPA. Brewed with mango, Danali and Mosaic Hops.


Candy Floss Pale Ale

ABV 4.8%

Lightly inspired by our pillowy pink childhood favourite. This beer is brewed with El Dorado hops to give a subtle sugar like aroma and flavour, with just a touch of raspberry.



Brewery & Cellar Door

Our cellar door has limited open hours as our brewer George staffs the cellar door around his daily work. Regular open hours (Friday & Saturday) are advertised here and on our Facebook page. Occasionally we open outside of these times, look for the OPEN sign on Sheffield Street.

Our team is small but we're supported by a big community.

Owned and operated by George Duncan and Wai Familton, Duncan’s is the result of a 22,000 km road trip circumnavigating the USA, where they drank their way through a multitude of sessionable and sometimes questionable beer offerings. Clearly, a beer obsession was born.
