Summer Bar Staff, Fixed Term, Permanent Part-time

We're looking for an excellent FOH summer all-rounder. A passion for beer is a must, and craft beer knowledge is ideal, but a great attitude, and willingness to learn is just important.

Contract: Nov 2026 to Feb 2027, Friday 4-8pm and Saturday 2-8pm + extra hours

You'll need:

  • A genuine passion for beer

  • Hospitality experience

  • A friendly, confident and approachable personality

  • The ability to stay calm and positive when things get busy

  • Weekend availability from November to February

You'll work with our Taproom Manager, helping to keep our taproom running smoothly and that every customer has a great experience.

This is a Fixed Term Permanent Part Time position of 10 hours weekly + overtime and occasional events. We can be flexible with the start and end date, but the position is required to be available Nov to Feb. Required shifts are Friday 4-8pm and Saturday 2-8pm. FOH staff may be asked to work extra hours, special events or functions outside of their normal working hours.

Extras:

  • Additional hours available between 18th December - 4th January
    Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Years Day off
    Early finish Christmas Eve & New Years Eve

Duties include:

  • Welcoming customers and providing knowledgable, friendly service

  • Pouring and serving beers

  • Taking orders and handling payment

  • Keeping the taproom clean, tidy and presentable

  • Helping with set-up and pack-down

  • Supporting the taproom during events and busy service periods

Essential Skills:

  • Experience working in a hospitality setting

  • A passion for craft beer and a desire to continuously learn

  • Excellent customer service skills and an ability to engage with customers with a personable and professional attitude

  • Honest, reliable and have excellent time management skills

  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written)

  • Attention to detail

  • Work in a tidy and hygienic manner

  • Team player with the ability to work within a small team

  • Ability to manoeuvre 25 kgs and reposition kegs as needed

  • The ability to work on your feet for long periods of time

  • Duty Managers Certificate is a bonus and any shifts worked as designated DM will be paid at a higher rate
